From your own home you can make a difference in your community by supporting your local fundraising team of staff and volunteers. Use your administrative skills to help our teams be even more successful at raising valuable funds to support blind and partially sighted people.

Did you know we raised £1.8 million last year through community fundraising? Every £228 we raise can provide six sessions of emotional support or counselling from a qualified counsellor to help someone come to terms with sight loss.

This role is NOT subject to a CRB check or membership of the PVG scheme.

What will I be doing?

  • Researching target audiences
  • Collecting and collating data
  • Sending mail-shots
  • Support events and collections

What skills and qualities can I bring to this role?

  • Good IT skills, including Word and Excel
  • Access to own computer and internet
  • To use your own initiative and feel happy working on your own whilst knowing you are part of a team
  • Good communication skills, spoken and written
  • Good organisational skills

When will I be needed?

We can be flexible around your availability

Location

Home based, although it would be useful to be in the County Down area.

  • Understanding Sight Loss Pack
  • Expenses - all out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed including expenses to attend training
  • Supervision and support from your Community Fundraising Executive (CFE)
  • Opportunity to attend team meetings
