Assist and support customers and staff at the RNIB centre as a friendly, welcoming and organised volunteer Receptionist for the Sensory Engagement Programme. Opportunity available in Londonderry.
The befriending service supports isolated blind and partially sighted people and hopes to build up their confidence. Volunteer befrienders are wanted to ensure people remain independent as much as possible and to help them with the small tasks that they find they cannot do. Blind and partially sighted people gain independence, confidence and support from our social activity volunteers. Would you like to help with a variety of activities at group meetings and events? We are looking for warm, encouraging and caring people who can help turn a life of isolation to a life of inclusion.
