Do you enjoy keeping fit and meeting new people? Swimming is a great way to have fun, get to know blind and partially sighted people in your area and stay healthy.
We need volunteers to offer assistance in the swimming pool to swimmers with sight loss who lack confidence or who need more support.
An Access NI check will be required for this role.
What will I be doing?

Acting as a sighted guide in the leisure centre facilities and swimming pool (optional)

Helping blind and partially sighted swimmers gain self confidence through swimming

Helping to promote and campaign for the inclusion of people with sight loss into mainstream sport and leisure
What skills and qualities can I bring to this role?

Good swimming ability

Friendly and enthusiastic

Experience of/willingness to develop guiding skills

Good verbal communication skills
When will I be needed?
Wednesdays from 11.45am to 2pm.
Location
Shankill Leisure Centre, West Belfast, BT13 2BD.
