What will I be doing?

To input data as instructed by Transcription staff

If editing or proof reading, to ensure the text produced is suitable for its purpose.

If interested, to be offered the opportunity to learn about and participate in any of the team's other tasks as appropriate
What skills can I bring to this role?

A familiarity with windows based packages.

Able to type competently, accurately and at reasonable speed, or to edit previously scanned material

Able to follow instructions as to the presentation of material

Able to work within RNIB's equal opportunities policy and will promote a positive view of visually impaired people

Ensure that any information you record remains confidential

No specific qualifications, but sound knowledge of Windows based PC programmes would be an advantage if checking using a computer
What qualities do I need?
You should be consciencious with an ability to pay attention to detail.
When will I be needed?
At least three hours a week. The team works five days a week from 9.00am to 5.00pm. Volunteers timings are negotiable. Training time will vary according to previous experience
