Do you have a strong interest in the issues concerning people with sight problems? Are you confident in front of large groups? Can you help dispel myths surrounding Visual Impairment? If so, we would like to hear from you.
We're looking for volunteers to help our sighted facillitators in delivering Visual Awareness Training to varied audiences.
This role is NOT subject to a CRB check or membership of the PVG scheme.
What will I be doing?

To assist the sighted facilitator in delivering Visual Awareness Training

To assist the team in promoting awareness of issues concerning blind and partially sighted people

To give a better understanding of visual impairment
-
To give some statistics on a number of areas of Visual Impairment

To dispel myths surrounding Visual Impairment

To help demonstrate the correct way to guide a visually impaired person

Travelling to different venues to promote visual awareness training

When will I be needed?
To be discussed with the volunteer manager, however as many hours as you can give is very much appreciated.
