RNIB Edinburgh and Lothians provide comprehensive services to blind and partially sighted people within the region including statutory social work, rehabilitation and low vision services. It also provides a wide range of activities and services supported by volunteers.
Volunteers assist with some 25 social and special interest groups. Opportunities exist in a variety of locations for lively people to have social contact with blind or partially sighted clients. Activities may include quizzes, dominoes, outings, keep fit, reading, card games, doing crosswords or just meeting for a social chat.
This role is subject to membership of the PVG Scheme.

Clients access a wide variety of activities therefore times vary from 2-4 hours a week, during the day and in the evenings.

Social activities take place throughout Edinburgh and Lothians, therefore location will vary depending on activity
