Current opportunities

Driver - Edinburgh

RNIB Edinburgh and Lothians provide comprehensive services to blind and partially sighted people within the region including statutory social work, rehabilitation and low vision services. It also provides a wide range of activities and services supported by volunteers. Volunteer drivers are needed to transport clients to various appointments, activities and services within the region.

Sighted Guide - Companion Walker - Kelso

Do you enjoy walking, keeping fit and getting out and about in your local area? RNIB Scottish Borders are starting a new project to encourage people with sight loss to become more active. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to become a companion walker for blind and partially sighted people.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to become a companion walker for blind and partially sighted people. Opportunity available in the Galashiels area, Scottish Borders.

Children and Young People's Activities and Events Volunteer

This is a unique opportunity to work with blind and partially sighted children and young people (age 0-25) alongside RNIB Scotland's Educational and Family Services Team We need confident, energetic volunteers to support children and young people on both an individual and group basis at events and activities including leisure, sport and fun educational events.

Community Eye Health Volunteer

Volunteers required to help increase the awareness of the importance of good eye health and regular eye exams. Opportunity available in the local communities of Govanhill and Pollokshields.

Technology Support Volunteer

We need more volunteers who understand and can help blind and partially sighted people make better use of technology in their homes and lead more independent lives. Opportunity available in the Scottish Borders (TD and EH43, EH44, EH45, EH46), Aberdeen and the surrounding area (AB), Fife (KY), Dumfries and Galloway (DG) and Inverness and the surrounding area (IV).

IT Specialist Volunteer

Would you like to use your expertise to help blind and partially sighted people to resolve IT problems? Opportunity available in the Scottish Borders (TD and EH43, EH44, EH45, EH46), Aberdeen and the surrounding area (AB), Fife (KY), Dumfries and Galloway (DG) and Inverness and the surrounding area (IV).

Local Community Network Volunteer

Do you enjoy being part of your local community, knowing what's going on in your area and getting out and about to meet people? Opportunity available nationwide

Children and Young People's Support Volunteer - Residential

Volunteers require to assist with group and one to one play and recreational activities at organised events. Opportunity available in Edinburgh
