RNIB Cymru runs an annual holiday scheme for blind and partially sighted young people between 10 -14.
Llangrannog Urdd Activity centre is set in the cliff tops
of the beautiful coastline of Ceredigion. Accommodation is shared in en-suite rooms with bunk beds. Free time can be spent in the lounges, or within the complex grounds. The centre has a floodlit football pitch, countryside walks, large play equipment and a games room.
Activities will include: Quad biking, trampolining, tobogganing, swimming, skiiing, horse riding, go-karting, rope course, beach walk etc…
In addition we have lots of activities including Wii games, Karaoke, board games, sports equipment, plus accessible technology equipment and various low vision aids that the children and young people can use in their recreation time.
This role requires an Enhanced Check for Regulated Activity.

Volunteers will attend an induction programme which contains Understanding Sight Loss and customer care training.

A days Children's Services training covering Child Protection, Health and Safety and basic First Aid is compulsory for all volunteers.

All out of pocket expenses will be fully reimbursed.
