We have written to you to ask if you can help us spread the word about avoidable sight loss by putting up a poster where you live.
As you may know, every day 100 people in the UK start to lose their sight. Yet over 50 per cent of all sight loss can be avoided.
People aged 50 and over are at greater risk of sight loss and conditions such as wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD) can destroy their sight in just three months.
But it doesn't have to be this way. We want people at risk of sight loss to take action if they notice any change in their vision and get in touch with RNIB.
From 18 March, we are running adverts in cinemas, on the radio, online and in GP surgeries.
If you can help us by putting up a poster in your window, community centre, church hall, pharmacy, GP surgery or library, please look out for an email or letter in the post from RNIB.
Alternatively, email us on
marketing@rnib.org.uk or call 020 7391 2396 by 4 March to order your posters.
Thanks again for your continued support.
