Take our voting survey between 22 – 30 May

We know that voting in UK elections isn’t easy for many blind and partially sighted people. We have recently given evidence to the parliamentary Political and Constitutional Reform Committee about blind and partially sighted people’s experiences of voting. We have been asked to provide more evidence to the committee. We also want to plan how to campaign on this issue in the most effective way. For this we need your help!

We want to hear about your experiences voting in the European and local elections. Even if you didn’t vote we’d like to hear why you chose not to. We want to find out how accessible the information is that councils and political parties send to you. We also want to find out how easy and convenient you really find voting by post or at the polling station. We know that in the last general election only a quarter of polling stations provided tactile templates to assist blind and partially sighted people to vote. This needs to be improved urgently.

The information you give us about your experiences voting and your opinions on the current voting systems are really important to us.

Take our access to voting survey now or you can call 020 7391 2123 for assistance.

Our survey runs from 22 - 30 May so don’t miss out on having your say!
