Improving access to Police services in Greater Manchester
On 19 May, more than 20 blind and partially sighted people from across the North West attended a conference hosted by the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Greater Manchester.
The PCC team are looking at how their services can be improved and made more accessible to people with sight loss. At the conference, campaigners discussed their experiences and issues such as procedures for reporting crime, the availability of accessible information and communications, hate crime and preventing crime.
We look forward to continuing this work with the PCC team at Greater Manchester Police to ensure the findings from the event are taken forward.
