If you are thinking about making a journey by train and want to find out how to plan your journey and what will happen when you arrive, this page has all the information you need.
Planning your train journey
You can find the location of your nearest train station and plan your journey with National Rail Enquiries. The Describe Online website also has text guides for National Rail, Transport for London and National Tramways and Metros services. Find out more about arranging assistance for your journey.
At your destination
When you arrive at your destination, if you've arranged for travel assistance, wait on the train for a member of staff to come and meet you. The member of staff will then help to you the exit, another platform, a taxi rank or a nearby bus stop.
