Over a billion people use Microsoft Office around the world, and to ensure that they can access their files wherever they are, Microsoft has launched Office for iPad.

The app will allow users to open and view their Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, enabling you to work when you’re on the go.

In developing the app Microsoft reviewed how consumers use their tablet devices, including touch screen and iPad functionality. It has the capabilities and look and feel that you will be used to, whilst having been built specifically for use on your device. If you hold an Office 365 subscription you will also be able to edit and create new documents just as you would on your home PC.

The new app is now available on both the App Store, and Google Play store for free. To find out more and read the Microsoft FAQ’s, visit Microsoft’s Office for iPad blog post.
