Key statistics about children and young people with vision impairment have been agreed by organisations across the sight loss sector. And they are all now in one handy document available on our website.

You can now find facts and figures to:

  • help plan the work of your service
  • give evidence to commissioners or
  • help others understand the numbers, needs and causes of vision impairment.

No more conflicting figures and it’s all in one place.

The statistics have been brought together by researchers at RNIB, Guide Dogs and RLSB (Royal London Society for the Blind) and have been endorsed by the VISION2020 UK, Children and Young People’s Group and the Social Research Group.
