Yorkshire and Humber Volunteer Campaign Coordinators Sajid and Charlotte have each undertaken a full day of mystery shopping activity across Leeds on First buses to test the level of service that’s provided for blind and partially sighted passengers. Both campaigners are regular customers of First Bus and rely on these services to make essential journeys to and from work.
Between them, Sajid and Charlotte made 16 journeys using different routes to get from their home into town. They found many good things about the services that are provided by First Bus. However, they also found that some things dramatically need to change, such as the communication on board buses. Both Sajid and Charlotte undertook journeys where drivers did not tell them when they had arrived at their stop.
Since undertaking this mystery shopping, both campaigners have met First’s operator managers and First Bus Leeds have now agreed to work with the campaigners and hold a Swap with me event in Leeds in September.Tags Bus campaigning, Campaigning, Yorkshire and humber
