Dorothy lives alone in rented accommodation in Cardiff. She is registered partially sighted, having lost the sight in one eye six years ago. She also has osteo-arthritis and walking is difficult.

As the result of a benefit check conducted by RNIB, Dorothy receives an additional £105 per week in extra benefits. This was money she was entitled to that almost doubled her income.
Dorothy says
"I've never had so much help in all my life. Nobody told me, so I had no idea I was entitled to the extra money that I now receive as the result of being partially sighted. I don't go out much so all the products I've received are very useful. It really is awful to lose your sight but its good to know that the here to HELP scheme is available to help other blind and partially sighted people like me. The help I've had came as a surprise. I would like many more blind and partially sighted people to know about here to HELP."
