Here are some websites that might help you get the most out of your technology. (These aren't RNIB websites, so we're not responsible for the content, but we do think they're pretty good!)

WebWise - BBC - A beginner's guide to using the internet.

My Web My Way - BBC - Explains the many ways that you can change settings on your computer, keyboard, browser and moust to make the web more accessible to you.

Technology and internet - Age UK - Age UK provides a wide range of advice, links and information about courses.

Go on - make online easy - Free, online course to help you get started using computers and the internet.

Go ON UK - Help someone you know to get online.

Fix the web - Which websites are letting you down? Use the Fix the web form to report bad websites to accessibility volunteers. They'll do what they can to work with the website's owners to improve it.

British Computer Association of the Blind - The British Computer Association of the Blind (BCAB) is a lively group of blind and partially sighted computer users. They offer training, discussion, networking and help to all their members.

UK Online centres - UK Online entres co-ordinate a network of 3,800 community-ased UK online centres across England, provide products, run marketing campaigns, offer training and project opportunities and administer grant funding to help their centres help more people make the most of online life.

UCanDoIT - UCanDoIT teaches blind, deaf and disabled people how to use computers, with a particular focus on Internet and email skills.They teach learners in their own homes, on their own computers, as they believe that this is the best way to learn. All sessions are done on a one to one basis.
