iBooks font issues

Post details

Digital Accessibility has been contacted by someone who bought an iPad specifically to enable her to read books in large print. She used the Verdana sans-serif font in iBooks set to a font size she estimated at being 16 or 18 point. Since the iBooks update in early December, she has found she is unable to read, because the Verdana font has been replaced with another sans-serif font called Seravek which she finds worse, and also because the font sizes for this jump from about 14 to 24.

We wondered if anyone else had any comments to make about this iBooks update? If you do, please let us know and also email your comments to accessibility@apple.com.
