Insight magazine Issue 39 May/June

Art and culture is the theme of this issue. Can museums and galleries be truly inclusive? We visit one museum where they are developing art sessions and tours for children and families that aim to create a rewarding and fun experience for parents and children with visual impairments

Getting involved

Music is a powerful tool for communication, and "Sounds of Intent" is a major new resource for teachers of children with complex needs. Learn more, and find out how teaching assistants can become more confident in teaching music.
Brush up your Shakespeare with a touch tour of the Globe Theatre in London, and meet a young, partially sighted actor at the start of her career.

Emotional support

In the rest of the issue, we are delighted to announce the first of a new series "Caroline's casebook". This will look at a different emotional problem in each issue, with advice provided by emotional support counsellor, Caroline Stedman, plus wise words from young people.
And we feature a SEND Green Paper pathfinder project in East Sussex which is trialling an alternative to the statement of special educational needs.
