Rachael Anne's story

Rachael Anne writes about moving from special schools to mainstream schools, the support she received from family and friends, and her determination to lead an independent life. She was born with bilateral congenital cataracts.

Rachael Anne is now 21 years old and works as a trainee Family Services Officer.

Becky's story

Becky writes about her experiences in mainstream education, going to University and finding a job. She has Stargardt's disease, a form of macular degeneration.

Becky is 23 years old and now works full time for a national charity, co-ordinating courses for individuals with spinal chord injury.

Rebecca's story

Rebecca talks about her experience leaving home and shares some ideas that she hopes parents might find useful to pass on to their blind or partially sighted children.
