Bullying: Who to talk to

If you're being bullied, tell someone!

Talk to a parent or carer, a friend, a teacher, or someone else you trust. You may be nervous about doing this, but a lot of people who have been bullied say they wish they had told someone earlier.

There are also other people out there who can help. Here are some of them.

Kidscape

Kidscape is a charity specifically set up to prevent bullying and child abuse. They have a section on their website all about bullying and how to deal with it.

Childline

Childline is a free, confidential 24-hour helpline for young people in trouble or danger. You can call Childline from anywhere in the UK to talk about any problem or concern.

Samaritans

If you're feeling down, call or email the Samaritans. They are there for anyone who wants to talk about a problem, large or small.

Kidscape: bullying

CyberMentors are young people you can talk to if you've got a problem with bullying. Whether you're being bullied, or you've seen it and don't know what to do, or maybe you're actually bullying someone else and want to stop, just drop a CyberMentor a message, or ask to chat to them online.

Bullying UK has loads of advice about different types of bullying and how to stay safe, including tips from young people who have been bullied.
