Big Print Puzzle Book Summer issue 2011 is now on sale in over 500 WHSmith high street shops.
This is the third issue of this quarterly puzzle magazine, which launched back in January this year with the Winter 2011 edition. Big Print Puzzle Book is the first publication that RNIB has placed a in a major newsagents and it is part of our drive to enable more people to access books, magazines and newspapers independently.

Unlike other large print puzzle books that you may be able to find out there, it's not just the clues which are in large print but all the solutions and the numbers in the crossword grids as well. Reaching more people
Many people who struggle to read the print size in standard leisure publications already subscribe to our
weekly Big Print newspaper or buy our Big Print diaries and calendars on an annual basis.
However, we know that there are more people out there who, for various reasons, don't feel ready to approach RNIB for information. It is these people we want to reach by selling this publication in WHSmith as it is a well established and widely recognised chain of shops.
We have chosen a puzzle book as our first publication as we know that 'puzzling' is a popular activity and there is a very obvious lack of any thing other than standard size print puzzle books available on the high street.
If this is a success, standard print puzzle book producers will be encouraged bring out their own large print versions, and WHSmith and other stockists will be encouraged to source and sell more large print publications.
