RNIB Royal Albert Hall Box

Royal Albert Hall

Did you know that RNIB has a box at the world-famous London concert venue, the Royal Albert Hall?

If you are blind or partially sighted, you can apply for tickets and take a sighted friend or guide.

Recent events have included Jools Holland, Michael Bolton, Eric Clapton, the BBC Proms concerts, the Cirque du Soleil and much more.

Cost of tickets

Tickets are subsidised. As of 1 April 2010, the cost of tickets will be £14, considerably cheaper than the face value for the majority of events.

About the box

The box is in the second tier and seats five people, two at the front, two on a higher level and one at the back.

Finding out what's on and applying for tickets

Listings for all Royal Albert Hall events are available from a variety of sources, such as the Royal Albert Hall Box Office (telephone 020 7589 8212) and the Royal Albert Hall website.

As a member of the Royal Albert Hall, we receive tickets for the majority of events. By joining our mailing list, you will receive regular newsletters with details of upcoming events for which you can request tickets for the RNIB box.

We give priority to new users and those who have not had tickets in preceding months. For exceptionally over-subscribed events, such as the Last Night of the Proms, we hold a ballot.

Please note that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded (download our Information pack for the full terms and conditions).

Alternatively to receive a copy of our Information pack by post, e mail royalalberthall@rnib.org.uk or telephone 020 7391 2063.

The BBC Proms

The annual BBC Proms season runs from July to September, and we have tickets for the majority of concerts at the Royal Albert Hall including the Last Night.

To order a prospectus in braille or on CD, ring RNIB Customer Services on 0303 123 9999. You can obtain it on tape from the BBC by calling 020 7765 3260.

We produce a free summary in large print, which just gives the dates, performers and composers. For a copy, please email
royalalberthall@rnib.org.uk or telephone 020 7391 2063.

Unable to get tickets

If you are unsuccessful in getting a ticket for the RNIB box for your chosen concert, the Royal Albert Hall offers two tickets for the price of one to disabled people who require an assistant companion (limited availability). For further details, contact the Royal Albert Hall Box Office directly on 020 7589 8212.
