World Folk Music day
Date: Monday 2 April from 11:00 until 16:00
Venue: handel House Museum, 25 Brook Street, Mayfair, London, W1k 4HD
A day exploring traditional music from around the world, learning new music and vocal techniques led by the Handel House Composer-in-Residence Kerry Andrew. Further details coming soon.
GCSE/A level revision day
Date: Tuesday 3 April from 11:00 until 16:00
Venue: RNIB, 105 Judd Street, London, WC1H 9NE
An Easter revision day for blind and partially sighted students taking GCSE or A level music who wish to brush up on their skills ahead of the Summer. The materials used will be based on your examination board and there will be opportunities for performance practice, tackling written papers and looking at the modifications for blind and partialy sighted candidates. Music events for adults
MAS also runs professional development days for blind adult musicians who are working, or hope to work, in a wide range of areas in the music business.
Practise Makes Perfect
Date: 15 February, 11:00 until 17:00
Venue: Wigmore Hall, 36 Wigmore Street, London, W1U 2BP
A day of presentations, discussions and practical work focussing on teaching how to practice, inspiring pupils to prepare effectively for performance.
Earplaying Research Project
Date: Saturday 25 February from 11:00 until 16:00
