Background

The Music Teachers Support Group, Support for Teachers of Visually-Impaired Pupils and Students, was formed in 1991. The group is one of the VIEW /RNIB Curriculum Groups but has always had a wider membership, and interest, than mainstream music education.

Members include instrumental teachers and musicians working in the field (such as teachers of braille music and musicians themselves who are blind or partially sighted). The Group is especially useful for those supporting students preparing for GCSE and A level examinations in Music.
