Theatre Audio Description

Do you enjoy visiting the theatre, or do you not go to performances as you find it difficult to follow the plot?

Theatre Audio Description

Audio described theatre performances are available at over one hundred theatres around the country. The description brings alive what is happening on stage for people with sight problems. It describes the action, scenery, facial expressions and costumes.

Venues often offer pre-performance notes and touch tours. These enable you to receive a description of the set or the ability to visit the stage before the performance. They also give details of scenery, props and an opportunity to meet the actors.

'What's on' brochures should also be available in your preferred format on request.
