RNIB Community Living Service

We help adults aged 18 to 40 to make a smooth transition to adulthood. Our services are for people with sight loss, multiple disabilities and complex needs.

Participants develop skills and independence during their time with us and if appropriate they are able to move on to less supported environments.

Quality care

  • Our Care Quality Commission inspection grades are "good" or "excellent." We aim to have all services graded "excellent" by 2012.
  • We earned the RNIB Visibly Better award through providing an accessible environment, trained staff and accessible communications for people who use our services (October 2009).
  • We hold the Investors in People Bronze award due to commitment to staff, service development and quality.

Location

The Community Living Service is based at on a 17-acre site in Redhill. The registered care homes are spread throughout the town and surrounding area, and vary in size and type.

Redhill has excellent facilities and communication links, making it an ideal base for this service.

Funding

The major source of funding for a participant is from Social Services. However, some participants are funded independently.

Presentations can be arranged for interested Social Services departments.
