Our services
We offer specialist services to children and young people who are blind or partially sighted with multiple disabilities and complex needs, including:
New state-of-the-art facilities are now open following a major redevelopment. This includes five six-bedroom bungalows with gardens and outdoor play areas. Our fully accessible school offers specialist music, art and science classrooms, two multi-sensory rooms, hall, library and sixth form area.
We are now able to accommodate 30 young people residentially with up to 70 places available in our school.
Local area
RNIB Pears Centre for Specialist Learning is based in a pleasant residential area in Coventry, Warwickshire. We are approximately six miles from Coventry city centre and are very close to Junction 3 of the M6.
Being based in central England, we have easy access to all parts of the UK via the motorway (near M6, M1, M69 and M42) and train networks.
We are close to the Warwickshire towns of Bedworth and Nuneaton and the Ricoh Arena - Coventry City football stadium. Shops, places of worship and a wide variety of leisure facilities suitable for young people are within easy reach.

Brief history
1957: RNIB Rushton School was established in 1957 at Rushton Hall, Northamptonshire.
2002: Rushton moved to a shared site with Exhall Grange School in Coventry, North Warwickshire and became RNIB Rushton School and Chidren's Home.
2005 - 2008: plans were produced to redevelop the entire Rushton site.
2007: RNIB purchased its current site from Warwickshire County Council.
2008 - present: the redevelopment and transformation of RNIB Rushton School and Children's Home began!
2011 - Rushton officially launched its new name and logo as RNIB Pears Centre for Specialist Learning.
