Tracking the progress of pupils at P levels

This course will look at a range of different methods of assessing, monitoring and tracking pupil's progress. We will look at how pupils are making progress against their previous attainment, against others and against national guidelines. We will also at how this data could be reported to different stakeholders.

Who should attend?

Teachers, senior teachers, head teachers, assessment coordinators, SENCOs, governors in mainstream and special schools who support children with learning difficulties.

Learning objectives

  • To develop an understanding of some different methods of assessing pupils progress when they are working at p levels including against their own attainment, the attainment of others with similar needs and against national guidelines.
  • To look at how progress can be tracked and monitored in pupils
  • To explore opportunities to ensure high expectations are set for the pupils and this is clearly communicated with all involved in the child
