Knowing your rights

Under the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), it is unlawful in a wide range of situations to treat someone unfairly because they have a disability. Find out if you are covered under the Act, and what it says about fair treatment in employment, housing, education and more.

The Human Rights Act gives rights to all people living in the UK, and can provide another way of dealing with unfair treatment.
