Some PTX1 model DAISY players have developed an annoying habit of announcing that: "36 months have elapsed since the player was serviced" when the device is turned on. If your player has this problem these instructions explain how to reset the clock on the PTX1 so that the message stops being announced:

Turn the player on

Press the menu key (lozenge shape, centre of the player, to the left of the on/off button)

Press the right arrow navigation key until the player states 'system setting'

Press enter (round button below the navigation keys and to the right)

Go back to the right navigation key until it states 'setting the system time'

Press enter

Press the left arrow navigation key until it states '2009' and then press enter

You will also need to press enter for the month, day and time (these can be left unchanged).
