Library closures and cutbacks are a serious threat in many parts of the country. The Women's Institute has launched a 'Love Libraries' petition to as part of its campaign to save local libraries from closure. The WI is calling on the Government to honour its commitment to act as a champion of the library service. The WI hopes to gain collect 100,000 signatures and trigger a debate in Parliament.
