Do you know a child who struggles to read print?

A girl enjoying a giant print book

As children return to school after the summer holidays, they will be reaching for their books. But it can be hard for blind and partially sighted children to get hold of the reading material they need.

RNIB National Library Service offers the only collection of giant print books (in 24 point type) for loan in the UK. Children can choose from nearly 2000 titles, with something to suit all ages. And the service is completely free.

Whether they're interested in learning more about Horrible Histories, reading classics such as Goodnight Mister Tom, or relaxing with more modern stories by Jacqueline Wilson, there is something for everyone.

For children who can't read giant print, RNIB National Library Service also provides a wide selection of children's audio books from our Talking Book Service and over 3000 braille books.

Books are delivered by post free of charge and children can borrow up to six books at a time.
