Take part in World Book Night 2013

World Book Night 2013 logo

Do you love a book so much you want everyone to read it? World Book Night was launched in 2011 to give a million books to light or non readers. Once again RNIB National Library Service is giving you the opportunity to join in.

World Book Night will be held on Tuesday 23 April 2013 and RNIB will give you 15 CD copies of an audio book title to give away as part of this national reading event.

It is entirely up to you how you give away your 15 audio CDs. You can give them to friends or relatives or to complete strangers in the street or on the bus! Either way, you will be sharing a great book with others and helping RNIB to promote the importance of accessible reading for people with sight loss and the wider work of RNIB.

How does World Book Night work?

It's easy to share a book you love, just let us know the following:

  • Have you already read the book you want to share?
  • Choose your top three titles from the list below, just in case your first choice is unavailable.
  • Where will you be giving the books out? General information is fine, such as: 'my kid's school', 'the local hostel' or 'my town centre'.
  • Who do you plan to give the books to? Again general information will do: 'parents/teachers/kids at my school' or 'commuters who don't read on my'.
  • Why do you want to share these books? Just give us an idea of why you love reading.
  • Please ensure you include the address you would like the books to be mailed to.
