Summer Reading Challenge

Every year, we help hundreds of blind and partially sighted children take part in the national Summer Reading Challenge. This means reading six books over the school summer holidays and taking part in fun reading activities with friends in your local public library. When you complete the Challenge you will be rewarded with a medal and a certificate.

Last year's theme was 'Story Lab' as part of the Cultural Olympiad London 2012 Festival and we produced a themed booklist with titles available from RNIB National Library Service in braille, giant print and DAISY audio:

We will publish details of the 2013 Summer Reading Challenge here but if you would like further information in the meantime, please contact our Children's Librarian on 0161 429 1975 or email childrenslibrarian@rnib.org.uk.
