Choosing books

A girl choosing books from a library

RNIB is here to help you when it comes to your reading. We provide a range of books in accessible formats and have lots of ways to help you choose the right one.

You can order or enquire about books or magazines by contacting RNIB Helpline on 0303 123 9999 or email library@rnib.org.uk

Book catalogues

You could also try:

  • Online shop - find other RNIB publications and resources including courses for braille learners and free guides to living with sight loss.

Finding the right book

It's quick and easy to borrow or buy books from RNIB:

  • Our New books magazine tells you all about the latest books available from RNIB.
  • We've also got book lists to give you ideas.
  • There are also book lists for children too.
  • Read On magazine has lots of articles with reading ideas - you can also listen to some featured articles in the Reading podcast.

Contact other readers

  • The BookTalk forum is your place to share your love of reading - it's really easy to register and post your opinions.
  • You can also share your love of reading with others using our Telephone Book Clubs.
  • We use Twitter to talk about books and reading, why not follow us!
  • Our Bookchain reading group is a great way to recommend books to others, discover new authors and try something new. For more information contact Megan Chivers on 0161 429 1973 or email megan.chivers@rnib.org.uk
