Braille books

RNIB is the largest publisher of braille books in Europe. These are available for members to borrow through the RNIB National Library Service or to buy through our online Book Site.

We lend 83,200 volumes of braille and braille music through our library every year.

What we offer

  • a wide choice of titles from popular classics and modern bestsellers to poetry, plays, non-fiction and biographies
  • plenty of books for children of all ages
  • for schools, many of our titles support the National Curriculum although we do not lend text books
  • help and support from our friendly Reader Services Team

Anyone can learn braille and, like anything else, the more you practice, the better you get. We offer a range of courses and training sessions, as well as some free resources and fun introductions to braille.
