Summer Reading Challenge 2011 - Circus Stars and Performance

A Summer Reading Challenge Circus Star cartoon

With the summer holidays fast approaching, we thought we would bring to your attention this year's Summer Reading Challenge, the theme of which is Circus Stars. This will cover all aspects of theatre and performance- and lots of other things besides!

Summer Reading Challenge is run by the Reading Agency through Public Libraries to encourage children to continue reading during the school holidays. The challenge is to read six books in order to qualify for a medal and certificate. It is aimed at readers aged 4-12. Simply register through your local library where enlarged print and Braille packs should be available and then borrow the books through us here at RNIB National Library Service:

For further information about this year's Summer Reading Challenge and to put your name down for a booklist to be sent to you in the summer, please contact the Children's Librarian on: 0161 355 2061; email: childrenslibrarian@rnib.org.uk
