My Life in Books (BBC series)

Anne Robinson host of the My Life in Books show

Anne Robinson hosts My Life in Books, a chat show which invites well-known personalities to discuss the books they most love and why (find out more on the BBC My Life in Books website). We've put together lists of the books to help you find them in accessible formats:

Your Life in Books

We'd love to hear about the books you would choose. What are the five books you most love and why? The reads that tell your life in books? The show always includes a children's books and a guilty pleasure but you don't have to stick to the format if you don't want to!

You can send your choices to libraryinfo@rnib.org.uk or post them on the Book Talk forum or our Twitter feed.

Other ways to get these books in accessible formats

  • Your public library - for audio and large print
  • You might find some as ebooks - where to get ebooks
  • Other charities like Calibre audio library (may also have books on audio cassette) and the National Blind Children's Society (NBCS)
  • Book shops - many high street and online book shops provide audio and large print books
  • Moon format - a few of the titles mentioned are available in the Moon format (a touch reading format similar in some ways to braille, but considered easier to learn)
  • RNIB Library Catalogue - for more books if you've been inspired by the series
