Travel magazines
You can subscribe to several travel magazines through National Talking Newspapers and Magazines (NTNM) in various accessible reading formats - enjoy the likes of Holiday Which?, Geographical Magazine, National Geographic and Wanderlust.
Full details of what's available and subscription charges can be found online. One option is NTNM's Online service, which gives you the chance to read today's papers or any of over 100 magazines anywhere and anytime you want, on something as handy as your mobile phone - perfect for when you're on the move. Your chosen titles will be emailed to you as soon as they are published - all for a single yearly subscription of just £39.
If you read the files on a PC using screenreading software, you can skip easily around the content by using the quick keys to jump to next heading, so you can skim through to find the things you want to read first, really quickly.

Books you can order
Whether you're a seasoned traveller or an armchair dreamer, Make the Most of Your Time on Earth: A Rough Guide to the World brings you the very best travel experiences, with 1,000 must-do experiences from around the world. Available in contracted (grade 2) braille (Order no. 22219402), priced £18.99.
The Rough Guide to Accessible Britain (Rough Guides, 2008) features 100 inspirational and accessible places to visit and things to do - from exploring Sherwood Forest to soaking up the atmosphere at Wembley.
This book is available in DAISY format with full text - a format where the entire text of the book is included and synchronised with the audio version. This means that on a PC, for instance, you could run a text search for something in the book and when it finds and goes to that item, the audio will start to read out at exactly the same place. This is great for those books that are not necessarily read from the first to the last page, but where you might want to jump around. (Order no. 801882).
You can also buy and borrow this title in uncontracted (grade 1) braille and contracted (grade 2) braille, or borrow it through our Talking Book service. All formats are priced £6.99.
We also stock a number of Berlitz pocket guides in accessible reading formats. For more details, call our Helpline on 0303 123 9999.
