When ordering a minicab, you may want to tell them that you have a sight problem and ask them to make sure that the driver knocks on the door when they arrive.

When you arrive
Once you reach your destination, ask the driver to tell you exactly where the driver has parked and describe the surroundings. If you need assistance getting to a front door or to a familiar point, ask the driver to get out and help you.
