ITV have released the Brideshead Revisited complete collection with audio description on DVD and Blu-ray.
Brideshead Revisited
This is an epic adaptation of Evelyn Waugh's classic novel. Set during World War Two, Charles Rider (Jeremy Irons) is stationed at the now deserted stately home, Brideshead Manor, formerly the residence of the Flyte family. He recalls how, as a Cambridge undergraduate, he first visited Brideshead after befriending Lord Sebastian Flyte (Anthony Andrews).
Charles then became caught up with the Flytes and their problems, most notably Sebastian's growing alcoholism.
ITV have previously released popular dramas such as Lewis, Northhanger Abbey, Vera and the children's series Numberjacks on DVD with Audio Description (AD).
RNIB Campaign
RNIB has been campaigning for more programmes and films to be made available with AD. An overall increase in the availability of content with audio description will improve the balance and choice offered to blind and partially sighted people in the UK.
