Free film screenings if you are in school!

11 October 2011

Yogi Bear, Cars 2, Kung fu Panda 2, The Social Network, 127 hours are only some of the fantastic titles to be screened as part of National Schools Film Week (NSFW) this year and all for free!

NSFW is the largest event for schools and cinemas in the world. The year 2010 saw 473,000 students attending some 2,800 free screenings in 560 cinemas across the country. The festival's goal is to support classroom teaching by providing schools with a powerful experience for their students.

A number of these screenings are available with audio description and subtitles.

However, please note that these screenings are for school groups only and are not open to the public at large. If you would like to attend one of the free audio described shows you must let your school know, so that they can book tickets!

This year's dates are:

13 October - 21 October 2011 in England, Wales and N.Ireland

27 October - 4 November in Scotland.

To learn more about the festival, you can write to events@filmeducation.org or simply call them on 020 7292 7300. Detailed information is also available on the NSFW website.
