Radioplayer is an online radio player that brings together all BBC radio content with the majority of the UK's commercial stations. This service was launched in March this year.
This online player offers access to over 150 UK radio stations, including all BBC stations and other highly successful radio services such as Classic FM, Heart UK and Magic. A powerful search engine on the player interface helps listeners explore UK radio by stations, programmes, locations, presenters and even topics. On-demand programmes, 'listen again' and commercial radio podcasts are also searchable.
Online radio listeners can personalise the Radioplayer by saving their favourite stations by using the player's presets function.
However, Radioplayer can only be used on desktops and laptops right now. Work is underway to launch this player on mobiles - both as an app and on mobile browsers and then roll it out across internet-connected games consoles and TV set top boxes.
