Panasonic has received an RNIB Inclusive Society Award for their decision to incorporate Voice Guidance to make their TV sets accessible for blind and partially sighted people.

Voice Guidance refers to the talking feature that has been introduced across all 30 new Panasonic television models in their 2012 range. The feature is built-in as standard and the televisions can be purchased from any high street or online shop selling the TV brand. It is announces the entire on-screen guide and the most important menus.

Panasonic is the first global television manufacturing company to include the talking feature which makes their televisions easier to use for everyone. Voice Guidance has been developed after joint working with RNIB and user testing with blind and partially sighted people.

It is available on almost the new 2012 Panasonic television models, with a choice of Freeview or Freesat tuners, screen sizes ranging from 32 inches to 65 inches and a price range of £500 to £4,000 for the top of the range model.
