Location: Hertfordshire, countywide with bases at Hemel Hempstead and Stevenage
Salary Range: Up to £32,486 per annum
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Permanent

Job description

Holding a qualification in Rehabilitation Work (Visual Impairment), you will be an enthusiastic, proactive individual who can build professional trusting relationships with service users, their carers and other organisations. You will be confident in working closely with service users within the Sensory Services team and autonomously managing a diverse case load.

You will join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team of 20, whose focus is on enabling individuals with visual impairments, hearing loss and dual sensory loss to achieve optimum control of their lives through the process of rehabilitation.
You will provide Rehabilitation input by using an outcome focused approach including provision of low vision aids, rehabilitation training in mobility, orientation and daily living skills.
Using assessment tools and support plans you will work with service users and carers and carry out assessments in the person’s own home, therefore you will need to have a full UK Driving Licence.
You will be supported by our committed and supportive team including professional supervision.
