  • Essex volunteer takes part in driver training with First Bus


    Essex Volunteer Campaign Leader Phil Lee joined First Bus drivers for a day of training at their Chelmsford depot on 27 April, to highlight the challenges faced by their blind and partially sighted passengers.

  • First bus drivers swap places with passengers with sight loss


    Our latest Swap with Me event came to the First Bus depot in Bolton on Sunday 19 April. A group of blind and partially sighted passengers swapped places with First bus drivers and staff in order to understand the difficulties blind and partially sighted people face when travelling by bus.

    We had a huge breakthrough with our bus campaign this week; London based bus company, Metroline signed up to our bus charter on 18 March.
