Stagecoach East Midlands hosted a successful ‘Swap with me’ event in Grimsby on 31 October in order for Stagecoach staff to understand the barriers their blind and partially sighted customers face when travelling by bus.
RNIB campaigners, Sajid Ali and Charlotte Proctor helped to organise a successful Swap with me event in Leeds with Firstbus on 24 October.

Baroness Kramer confirmed that she would review the decision not to have mandatory bus driver disability awareness training in March this year. This has still not happened. We need you to ask Baroness Kramer to make a decision and publish the review.
On 20 August, Dan Byles, MP North Warwickshire and Bedworth, went on a blindfold bus journey with a group of local campaigners and staff from the Warwickshire Association for the Blind as part of our ‘Stop for me, speak to me’ campaign.
