Research project looks at role of smell in learning

Blind and partially sighted pupils at a residential special school in Manchester have taken part in research into the use of smell to enhance learning.

The UK Association for Accessible Formats has voted to adopt the Unified English Braille Code (UEB), and RNIB has agreed to implement UEB in all its braille materials.

New braille typing app

A new app that allows braille users to type braille using the touch screen of their iPad (or other tablet) has been developed by a student in the US.
