Providing support and advice to the families of the children and young people attending RNIB Schools and RNIB College is a key part of our work. Our staff offer advice and guidance to parents, carers, siblings and other family members as well as the chance to get together, support each other and have fun.
Family fun with Sunshine House!
RNIB Sunshine House School jointly run family services with Grangewood School giving parents, carers, siblings and other family members the chance to get together, support each other and have fun. Whether a family has a child that is a few months or 14 years old we have something for everyone.
We have sessions open to all the family and others where children can be left in our care, giving parents and carers some free time. Sessions include:

Family Counselling Service - This new Counselling Service is available to families and individuals. Our counsellor is a final year Doctorate Level Trainee in Counselling Psychology and offers short and long term therapy sessions to families, couples and individuals. Please contact the Family Services of RNIB Sunshine House School and Grangewood School for further information. Appointments are dealt with in confidence and by referral only.
