RNIB's Emotional Support Service is set to run an emotional support group for people experiencing Charles Bonnet syndrome hallucinations.
Charles Bonnet syndrome (CBS) is a common condition among people who have lost their sight. It causes people who have lost a lot of vision to see things that aren't really there, known as visual hallucinations.
The Emotional Support Service wants to offer people the opportunity to build on the understanding of this eye condition and share their experiences in a small and confidential emotional support group. The telephone support group will start next month.
The aim of the group is to help people improve their ability to manage the emotional impact the hallucinations have on their life and find better strategies to deal with difficult feelings they might be experiencing.
If you would like more information or to discuss joining the group contact the Emotional Support Service on ess@rnib.org.uk.
